Bridges

What are Dental Bridges?

A fixed bridge is a treatment option for replacing a missing tooth. Beacon Hill  Dental Centre takes great pride in producing bridges that look great, appear natural, and has functionality in chewing.

Why is a Dental Bridge needed?

A dental bridge is typically needed if you’re missing a tooth. It can be useful for patients who aren’t good candidates for dental implants or who want a surgery-free option for replacing a missing tooth.

During The Dental Bridge Procedure

Who is a candidate for a Dental Bridge?

If for any reason you have lost a tooth or teeth which has resulted in a gap between your remaining teeth, you are likely a candidate for a bridge. Your other options are dental implant replacements, or removable partial dentures. When you schedule a consultation with us we will review each of these options with you to find out which is the best treatment for you

What happens during the Dental Bridge procedure?

We start by administering a local anesthetic to numb the area. We then prepare the two teeth surrounding the space. Impressions are carefully taken and then used to craft your new fixed bridge at the dental lab. Your second visit to our office is a short one, it involves placing the permanent bridge and cementing it. If needed the bridge is adjusted to improve fit and feel, and you’ll be ready to leave the office enjoying your new smile.
